Never Live in Fear My Daughter

Step out and worry not of the dark,
be fearless, be brave, be of courage,
there's no such thing as fear,
in the mind that venture into the unknown;

What is fear after all?
if not the coward's tool of defence,
the fear-stricken is not safe when in hiding?
fear has not a shape any man has ever sighted,
except in the eyes of the retreating coward;

Be brave my sister for God is on thy side;
be valiant my brother for God is thy shield,
fear is unreal, a mere negative feeling,
which strikes the body when the mind is weakened,
it is a phantom that fools the stricken mind,
into inaction, retreat or collapse;

A fear-stricken mind causes a weakened body,
to collapse into a conscious coma,
the eyes shut but still sees what's not present,
open your eyes and face it, my daughter,
and conquer the imposter;

Often the mind stricken with fear,
activates the sinew so powerfully,
in a way, the body had never known,
then the cajoled mind prompts the fired up sinew,
and the legs sprint fast with the body in tow;

In fear, the fearful picks the wrong fight,
and even flee from the right try,
thus losing the chance of success,
stand firm or advance towards your fears;

Why be so afraid to even try?
fear is afraid of the adventurous mind,
the adventurer makes failure a friend,
in the end, the adventurer always never fails.
